september 27th

So it has been awhile, sorry to be MIA over the past few weeks. These are some from my shoot with The Drive Back last week, I'm stoked with how they turned out.

School is in full swing and I'm enjoying every bit of it, however my architecture classes have become that much more demanding this semester. I'm currently keeping myself sane by riding around on this guy:



tons of fun, and easy to say I've been on about four or five 2 hour bike rides through minneapolis in the wee hours of the morning over the past week. I'm currently at home for the evening, working on finishing up editing on some shoots from early september and taking some pictures for my sister in her first homecoming dress.

I'm shooting The Morning Of on Friday, going to Taylors Falls to spend some quality time with my favorite girl for my birthday on Saturday, and spending the rest of the time keeping up with school, so I definitely have my hands full!

final note: new website has been pushed for completion next month, we'll see if it's ready by then.

now that school has started back up, I've been struggling to catch up on work. Looks like time management has hit me as a priority with full force.

one week

school starts in one week....I think I'm ready to start.

finished up the Sing It Loud pictures, there are more, but those are for later. Epitaph put up an unedited version of the picture on their myspace, go peep that or something (because honestly, i'm not sure why they did).

Also, the football dude is Ryan, these are some extra shots I did for his senior pictures, because the kid is a 4-time captain, some large number all conference/all state football playing machine. Not to mention, he's also a great guy. His pictures turned out great, but he was super stoked for these.

also, ETID from Warped Tour, which was sick...because it always is.

coming home

Two days before I come home.

I've had a lot of fun out here in California, met many people, and seen some new places. my daily paid for meals was a bonus as well, lots of new food I had to try :] the work was what I expected, but the people were not, but weekends with my friend Austen were what made my time out here awesome. I hate to leave, but i'll be back.

When I'm home it's back to work (did I ever stop?). I have another shoot with my friends in Sing It Loud on Saturday, A Verse Unsung on Sunday, and then senior photos for 3 people during the week. With all of that looming, I'm frantically trying to finish up all the shoots I had before I left. School starts the day after Labor Day, I have to move all my stuff from the upstairs of my duplex to the downstairs, and somehow fit in time with my family and girlfriend....whew, so much to look forward to.

I'll post some of Sing It Loud as soon as Epitaph let's me.

californication

Finally I am able to update some things now that I am out of town and currently sitting in my hotel room in Cupertino.

I've been gone in California for the past week, and will be here until the 22nd doing some work for Apple. The whole week has been passing by somewhat slow, following a routine up until Friday. I spent the entire weekend with my friend Austen (great photographer and great guy) out here in the Bay Area, mostly spending time in San Francisco and his hometown of San Ramon, taking a lot of pictures, swimming in his pool, driving, and catching up. We're already starting to plan for next weekend, which should probably get alittle more crazy. Here are some of the photos of the past two days, with of course, more to follow.

Just busy finalizing alot of graduation shoots from a few weeks ago, prepping for school, and trying to squeeze as much summer out of the last month that's left before september.

I'm very stoked for the next month or two, especially for all the new work that i'm going to be doing and all of the new things i'm releasing...including my new website.

I have a whole new website coming, i'm guessing sometime soon. It'll finally give the ability to update it more often, have more and larger pictures to view, so i'm stoked to get it finished.

I've been extremely busy with shoots the past week, diana has finally come home from her family in buenos aires, and i leave in exactly one week for california.

Plans for the next week include a shoot with Take Cover on thursday, and also two more senior photo sessions. Sadly I will not be shooting The Morning Of tomorrow because they experienced some van troubles during tour, so that shoot will hopefully be rescheduled for sometime this fall. Some days will be filled with part time work at Apple, and to top it all off A Day To Remember on Saturday and Warped Tour on Sunday.

I've been really busy lately, especially with work at Apple and the whole iPhone launch. I've managed to have found time to finish pictures from a wedding back in june. I've also been hard at work on scheduling graduation photos, finishing pictures for Sing It Loud's music video release next week, and so many other things on top of that. I have 5 graduation shoots next week, then Diana is home finally, and only one week later and I'll be in California until the end of August.

Somewhere in there and after I'll find time to edit, get ready for school, shoot a couple bands, hangout with my family and girlfriend, work, and possibly sleep.

I'm still working on getting a new layout for my website, and hope to have a new one up around October. I'll be focusing on simplifying the layout, making it easier to update, and adding more content.

I had the house to myself for two weeks while Sam was on tour and Caleb was working at home. but for the next couple days I will be spending time back home with my mom and sisters, as well as visiting my grandparents and sleeping.

2008 just keeps on flying by.

I went to my first PUG meeting tonight over in Edina after work, and it was great to meet a ton of older photographers from the area, especially Spencer Combs. We knew of each other, but had never met, and it was a great time getting to know each other, geeking out on camera hardware, etc. I'm stoked because we're going to go do some shoots together soon.

iPhone 3G launch friday at 8am, at least i'm not working. I'm really going to crack down on my work and finish all of it before next week. nice that I got my car fixed so I can go to the few places that buses won't.

I leave for California in less than a month...now if only I could figure out a way to bring my macpro with...

Still missing Diana more than anything, and only 2.5 weeks left.
